Maybe you didnt push the mag release button in far enough while you were screwing the mag catch/release in the reciever?  You can push the button in with something like needle nose pliers because its hard to push it as far in as you need it to get the screw part flush with the button.  Kind of hard to follow what I wrote I think, but there are pictures here on the forum.

The threads are flush with the top of the mag release button.  When I push the mag release in the mag release clear out of the receiver good.  Mag release is catching on nothing.  Any one has a clue.  I e-mail Olympic Arms but no reply.

Well if it isn't the mag catch then that only leaves undersized mag wells. Are they consecutive serial numbered lowers (or real close) ?

Remove the upper, take the mag catch completely out of the lower, if the mags don't slide in and out freely then the mag well is undersized. If they do slide fine then it must be something with the mag catch.

Going to have to try it when I get home again.  End of this month. Receiver is consecutive serial lower.

Anothe question, does it matter if the lower is not with the upper and you insert the mag?

You can also check the front of the trigger guard to make sure it is not to far forward and in the channel that the back of the magazine goes in.

No. It should fit the same with or without the upper attached.  I generally buy local. I bought a AP lower that is tight in the well. I now always take a pre modM PMag with me to test first. If it's gtg on a old style PMag it's gtg on anything.
