I have ordered a PSA complete upper/lower and stripped lower that I plan to build (first build).  I saw that Rock River Arms has a PDS (Piston Drive System) that allows for a folding stock.  I am not sure if they offer a conversion kit.  Does anyone know where I can get a kit for my AR15 to allow for a foldable stock?

There is no "adapter" to allow a folding stock on an AR-15. The AR needs the recoil spring and buffer housed in the receiver extension to operate.

You would need to use a completely different upper that incorporates a recoil assembly internal to itself, such as the ZM LR300, as opposed to the AR system in the lower.

Then you can use an adapter or stock such as sold by ACE on a standard AR lower.

The Rock River he is talking about uses a folding stock, it does not have a receiver extension.

Yes but the question he asked is for a kit to convert his AR to use a folding stock like the RR has. The LR300 I linked is such a "kit".

Holy shit. $1700 for the upper and stock???  . No way. DI is good enough.

ZM is long gone. Para Ordnance makes them now. You can get the kits from Midway or maybe Brownells. I think they're still in the $1500 range.

EDIT: Or maybe they don't... it's in this Midway catalogue but, it's not on their website. Product number comes up with nothing. Brownells doesn't seem to have it either.
