If you already have a complete upper and simply want to replace the ejection port cover, then you use the rod, the spring, and the c-clip on the end of the rod from your current upper and put all of that back on your upper receiver with the new ejection port cover.  It's a bitch to get the spring held in the correct orientation as you put the cover back on, because the spring has to be under tension, and the little arm on the spring will have a tendency to keep popping loose.  For those who have a stripped upper receiver with no parts on it, they will have to buy the ejection port cover kit as the kit has all of the other parts besides just the ejection port cover.

Wow!  OK, I think you need the callsign of Hammy from Over the Hedge.  I would say lay off the coffee, Monsters, etc.  And please go bitch slap your teacher that only taught phonics.  HEHEHE!

I think I am understanding that you want a custom ejection port?  There are many companies that can do this.  Just Google them.  Here are a few.

Molon Labe

TNT

Leo Armory

If you want the run of the mill ones made by Spikes...Go for it.  To replace them, you will need to remove the barrel.  Tool up and have fun!  I'll even post a link to the video that will help you reassemble.

Video

Hope this helps.

heres a pic of my custom one on my PSA upper.. (my Chinese TAT on my neck)

gently remove the C/E Clip on the right.. (see yellow square) and put aside..

slide the pin to the LEFT (direction of yellow arrow).. use care not to scratch your forward assist tear drop..

you may need to angle the PIN slightly in one direction or the other to get it out/in..

then you do not have to remove your barrel to do this..

lmao I just went over my post again..and the spelling is horrendous.  I saw the video, but I think I would probably screw something up.  Also for the record I had been up for 18 hours or so when I posted..sorry for the terrible spelling.  I cringed with I saw sales.  I would like to thank you all for your help though.

No need to apologize - We have all done it.  Without spell checker, I usually have at least 2-3 errors too.  It was just funny!

The post with not removing the barrel.  I think your procedure is dependant on the lower MFG .  I could not squeeze mine over the gun that I bought.  The Surplus Ammo I have bought 5 of might be able to squeeze.  The PSA I just bought...Looks possible, so I stand corrected.

There's no need for a gun gunsmith. Watch that video a couple times. If you can't do that then ...

I looked it up Assassin.. it says Chinese, Japanese, etc..

per Yahoo answers:

In the ancient China, it's 刺客 (ci4 ke4)

its the bad guy with a knife stabbing a guest (honorable person)..

the point of my post was

a) showing him how to get the PIN out
b) small show off of my custom cover.. (which is the TAT on my neck)..

so if I croak (or bite it).. people will know it was MY rifle..

The word assassin is derived from the word Hashshashin (also Hashishin, Hashashiyyin, or Assassins), and shares its etymological roots with hashish; It referred to the Nizari branch of the Ismailli Shia founded by the Persian Hassan-i Sabbah during the Middle Ages. They were active in the fortress of Alamut in Iran from the 8th to the 14th centuries, and also controlled the castle of Masyaf in Syria. The group killed members of the Muslim Abbasid, Seljuq, and Christian Crusader elite for political and religious reasons. Although it is commonly believed that assassins were under the influence of hashish during their killings or during their indoctrination, there is debate whether these claims have merit. The Hashshashin were eradicated by the Mongol Empire in 1275.

No I just wanted Assassin in Chinese... didn't care about its history at all.. (I just re-googled it tonight and got the yahoo answer)

I looked up Assassin in Chinese word.. and got this picture.. and done..

I see the bad guy on the left, a long sword in the middle, and what I would call a statesman/politition on the right..

so the image matches your background.. killing for political gain.. hence the term Assassin..
