Well, after following another AR build thread elsewhere, I was inspired to finally put my own together.
I've been on a shopping spree the last few days and have purchased almost everything I need so far. Here's the summary: Bravo Company - 20" Standard Barrel & Buffer Tube Kit Daniel's Defense - 14" Lite Rail LaRue - Low Profile Gas Block Magpul - Front & Rear Gen 2 MBUS Palmetto - LPK w. MOE Grip Spike's Tactical - Upper & Lower Receiver, NiB Bolt Carrier Group, & NiB Trigger Running total is just shy of $1500, with the rail, barrel, and BCG being the biggest expenditures. Yes, I know I could have gone with a normal BCG, but the engineering behind the NiB on the BCG and the trigger really intrigued me, so I decided to splurge on that. There's only a few loose ends I still need to pick out - charging handle, stock, & muzzle brake/comp. I have an EOTech that I kept from the last AR I owned, so will slap that on for the time being. But in the nearer future, I intend to mount a scope. Would love to hear honest feedback. Nice to meet you all! |

I like your way of thinking. I really couldn't tell you how much mine cost to build. I think it was under 1K including the special tools. I don't really want to know though.First mistake you made...... Never add the total sum of the parts up. It's always better to buy 1 at a time.... Lpk-$59, CTR Stock––$95, Mbus front sight $38. See how it's already a lot cheaper. |

Hahaha! Well, I added a CTR Stock, Spike's Tactical DynaComp, Magpul AFG, and BCM Mod4 CH to the "just bought" list. And I made sure to ignore the Total line this time! Can't wait for everything to show up... hopefully I can start building early next week! |
