About 18 months ago I stumbled upon a fantastic 80% lower, and now I can't find the website for the life of me.
Here is what I remember: "Family Owned" machine shop Out of . . . California I think Over-sized trigger guard Finger grooved / gripped mag well face (very subtle though) VERY nice fence lines (like a QD / POF / Black Rain) I BELIEVE the business name had "precision" or "aero" in it (don't they all?) Surely, someone else has found this company, unfortunately my Google-fu - ARFCOM-Search-Fu must be weak. If I can't find this one, I will go with the QD, but I REALLY want to find it. |

Is it a 5.56/223 or .308 format? Colfax Tactical had a .308 80% with the integral oversize trigger guard. The had some spec issues, and are out of stock right now, but say they'll have them again "soon." |

This is probably not what you are looking for, sans the grooves you were referring to, but they are very nice nevertheless. http://quentin-laser.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=159 ![]() |

Colfax Tactical will soon be offering an 80% lower in the .308 pattern in addition to their current .223 sized forgings. Excellent machine work. I highly recommend their 80%ers. I have finished 2 of them.

That was the first place that I looked, but didn't see they style I remembered, so discarded them. My recollection of the "aero" and "precision" helped to throw me off as well. Plus I had just seen something about Dillon Aero on TV. Wouldn't they make the baddest (read "most expensive") lower ever? Thanks! It wasn't just my memory playing tricks then. So, if they had spec issues with the POF style, then I am glad I waited. Thanks again, ya'all! BTW, for those who asked, I'm going with a 5.56 pattern, but honestly it could end up as a 5.56, a 6.3 or a 6.8, just depending. |
