I recently ordered a Lower parts kit from Palmetto State Armory that included a Magpul polymer trigger guard and MOE grip. The trigger guard came with a roll pin and what looks like a screw (it's threaded anyways) about half the length of the roll pin and with a hole in one end. The hole does not appear to be allen key or anything other than a round hole. The corresponding hole in the trigger guard is not threaded. How do I install the trigger guard?

I thought it was a 1/16" hex?

I believe that is correrct, 1/16th. And it threads it self when you start screwing it in.

Good. Thought I was misremembering for a moment.

Watch out though when i installed that screw with a hex key i found that the screw is a weak marerial and got chewed up buy the key so now i have a half installed screw.

Thanks everyone. This will be my first build.

I just did the Alu version which of course was tapped.
If I was going to do the polymer I would get the correct tap and tee handle and tap the part first.
Cutting threads with a set screw through the trigger guard does not appeal to me.

Watch your depth, you'll want the set screw to bite a little on its own for good retention.
