Barrel selection > Build It Yourself

ok, so i have narrowed it down to three barrels that i wouldn't mind getting. all are 16" mid length barrels with a 1:7" twist. i was going to start a poll but have no idea how so, let me know what would be a good choice.

DD CHF
Centurion Arms CHF
Sabre Defence

I have a Sabre SS 1:8 and I'm really happy with it. I'd buy another one if I could find one.

well lets just hope that i can find one now. I actually just found out there is a gun show this week not far from where i live, so maybe i'll get lucky and find one there. if not what would be the second best option?

The three you mentioned are all very good choices. If you can't get your paws on a DD in the config that you want, which is likely since they are hard to come by these days, I would buy what you can get. Good luck.

i went ahead and ordered the centurion arms barrel. its a LW gov. profile. .750" for GB and .680" in front of GB. its supposed to be guaranteed 1" moa for 100yds. now to get all the rest of the pieces for it. which reminds me of another question, are all gas tubes created equal? seems to me that they would be.

I got a Centurion Arms 16" LW barrel myself. Haven't shot it extensively but am quite happy with it. Benchrested at 100 yds using my Eotech for sighting and some black hills 77gr. match ammo, I'd say awful close to MOA.

so would you say that the barrel profile is pretty close to a standard mid length gov. profile? i'm kind of curious, since the pictures on the site make it hard to tell. other than that i'm pretty excited to try it out.
