Playing around with AR's for years, but I finaly built a shop,
bought all the tools, and started building from scratch. (everything off the EE)

Simple build:

20in colt pencil slickside with colt half circle BC. Nice and light.

I took it to the range last Sunday and zeroed the compact ACOG at 75yds.

Wondered if it would go bang, or boom. Went bang every time.

Now I feel like the Dr.Frankenstin of AR's.
Put together this little 14.5 Colt M4 from other goodies.

Lots more to build after years of collecting.

Looking good.  It's nice to see a simple, classic AR.  Seems as though with all the options out there, spotting one is almost as rare as a UFO sighting.

Sooo true, and it's amazing how light they can be without all of the rails, lights, etc.

Feels a lot like carbine weight, but not as quick to move around. Has to get a + on Range, Accuracy, and Velocity.
