I've been going through some stuff, I have an older JP trigger, complete setup w/hex head set screws for overtravel/reset.  It's in a Stag lower and I need to fit the safety, it doesn't work.

Where should I take metal from? The safety or the trigger?  It's just barely flipping to safe with the trigger cocked, but the trigger sticks when you dryfire, and has to be pulled back into reset, in other words it's held back after it's pulled, and needs to be actively pulled forward, with very slight pressure.

Thanks for looking.

My instructions said to remove from the trigger. Done a couple and had to remove some metal from both triggers.

Remove VERY little each time and recheck. Take your time. Good luck

Also, I don't think the  trigger sticking on dry fire is a safety prob. Sounds like an adjustment prob. Check jp's website for clarification.

It's the trigger bar sticking on the side of the safety, when I first got it I couldn't even get it the safety to move at all, now I am remembering that little cd that came with it, (which I of course lost..) and it saying to take from the trigger...the metal is really frikkin hard, and even with a good file it only comes off with serious labor, I guess that's good Rockwell hardness, thanks.
