Hello everybody
I recently joined after deciding that I want to build my first AR.
I have several threads going right now with various questions i have had and so far the responses have been very useful in helping me narrow down exactly what i want
currently i'm looking at two different upper reciever setups

PSA has a deal going right now with a 16" rifle build kit that has everything except the stripped lower, include a Magpul MOE Stock, Handguard, and pistol grip.  I like this setup but i want a free float barrel so i've been looking at the YHM diamond FF rail.  That setup is the first of my two choices

The other option im looking at is a BCM 16" Standard M4 carbine upper which comes with the entire upper but no handguard and nothing else for the build.  I would put the same FF rail on this as well, and can order a build kit from PSA that doesnt include the upper or handguard but still includes the LPK, stock and grip.

The best i can figure, the difference is going to amount to about $10-15

I'm looking to get opinions on both of these setups and also if anybody has any other recommendations for a quality upper at a low price, I welcome other suggestions

PS i have also contacted PSA to see if i can get any better deal by having them install the YHM on their upper, but i just sent the message so i havent heard back yet.

BCM is the best on the market and if you buy an upper with no furniture on it you can get it super cheap, I'll find one for you.

nevermind their websites it down right now
