| Im am a little frustrated with the prices of ambidextrous parts for the AR platform. It seems like they are at least double the price. I realize that the market share for left handed parts is small...but the price of a single part can cost what I paid for my lower. I mean you almost have to have them...if your not comfortable with your rifle then you will not perform well with it...just a bit frustrating as I am on a bit of a budget... |

A good FCG can cost much more than a receiver. A LPK can cost as much.

Charging Handle.. Well, using the old tried and true method of racking the charging handle, the stock model works pretty well. If you're a lefty who's knife handing it with the support hand, then... I think I'd modify my technique before I bought a one-off special part. |

A good FCG can cost much more than a receiver. A LPK can cost as much. What are you talking about? There is no such thing as a left handed FCG or LPK. All that’s needed is an ambidextrous safety, magazine catch and charging handle for full lefty controls. A Stag arms lefty upper receiver is nice but not necessary. You don’t even need the lefty magazine catch. Right handed shooters change mags with their non-firing hand (left) by activating the magazine release with their right index finger. A lefty can use their non-firing hand (right) to change mags by activating the magazine release with their left thumb as they drop the mag. |

And that's the reason I recommended http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=217314 The only one to bring up LH FCG'S or LPK's is you. |

The subject of this thread is left handed parts. You brought up FCG and LPK. Although you didn't specifically say left handed, due to the nature of the thread, it was an easy conclusion to make. Either way, not sure why you brought up FCG and LPK prices and then post a link to an ambidextrous safety lever.
But hey, it’s all good. |

Left hand FCG's and LPK's are made with special cutters rotating in a counterclockwise direction.
