| First off, I'd lose the scope and the VFG. I'd switch the rail out for a standard handguard or MOE, either or. I'd go with a Tango Down BG17 for the pistol grip, and I'd get a CTR or MOE for the stock. Then I'd shoot it, a lot, with the iron sights. Eventually I'd save up enough for a decent optic, or maybe I'd just keep the iron sights. |
| I'd ditch the scope. Not sure what it is, but it's huge. I'd go with some type of holographic sight/red dot (AimPoint or EoTech) or go with an ACOG. Just my opinion. Also, if you want the VFG, I'd go with a Grip Pod, especially since you have a scope. Nice to have the bi-pod option for the steady shots. |

im thinking about putting a magpul triger guard and pistol grip. and i looked at the grip pod. its a very nice scope im love it im plane on buildin a 11.5 inch in the the next few months and puttin a eco red dot on it so this will be for more long range.
thank yall for the help |

Younggun.
What are your intentions with this rifle? Are you using it for hunting, shooting targets (sub 100yd or farther), or tactical? I think this answers your own question. I don't disagree with others, but everyone now a days wants you to make your weapon into a CQB/SOC type of weapon. I do like the comments for the MOE or CTR stock - Sound advice. Also, look at the grips - MAGPUL or HOGUE. I have both, and the HOGUE is awesome with the finger holds. The Magpul is fantastic too. If you like plinking to 100-200 yards, then you have the right idea here. If you like shooting deer, then you have the right idea. What are the specifications on the rail system you have? If it is free float, I would not go backwards and install a MOE handguard....Sort of dumb to give up the "accuracy" the handguard is suppose to obtain. However, if you are not using or mounting things on the rails, more comments will come with the forum. I like the looks of the rifle as is. Yes, the scope is on the large side, but is it effective? Specifications? But, it should be a QD type of thing. I don't think having this as an accessory is a bad thing - Just write down the location on the top rail and stow it. Get a small pelican case and start hording the accessories. You should experiment with the reddot accessories to know what they can do too, but most people don't want to plunk $500-700 for an EOTECH. If you do try the reddot, definately look at the specifications and the reddot MOA it can handle. Most are 5, 3, (fairly BAD!) and 2. There are other than EOTECH companies that are slowly catching up (NCStar) that carry some fantastic warraties. However, you pay for shipping - It might get expensive shipping those things regularly. Just give the Chinese another year, and most companies will have something better. I would also leave this as is, and you can build another if you want something else. The great thing about the LBR is that you can rebuild this to something more specific as you grow and change your habits. It's up to you man, don't always seek out the mass approval of something you have done. You will receive 100 responses on things you should do differently. JMHO. Oh, nice toe shot! Rob |

Why do you want to change anything? Are you changing it just because your bored? You need to find out what YOU like and what YOU want to do with the weapon and adjust accordingly, or just shoot it as is and have fun. You can always build another later for a different purpose.
