I finally got all the parts together for my first build, list and pics to follow tomorrow.

First issue to come up is completely cosmetic - I went with a Rainier Arms SPR barrel, which is actually bead blasted stainless, instead of shiney.  The muzzle brake I ordered (the jp enterprises), is a shiney stainless.  Can anyone recommend a matte stainless muzzle brake/flash hider?  That would match up with the barrel better?

Vs picking up another flash hider, have the one you have blasted. Go to a machine shop or auto body shop and ask what it would cost to bead blast the part to rid the shinyness. I bet you could do it for cheap.

Or call Adco. Those guys could take care of you. You would just have to ship it to them.

that never even occurred to me, thankyou!  Do you need to do anything special to protect the threads?

I don't think the blast would eat them up. Tell the shop not to bast the base or threads. With basting the correct direction, you could keep from hitting the threads hard.

Or send it to Adco and tell them what you are doing. They would know how to get it fixed up.
