Got this done tonight. The upper will be here one day :). This is my 1st AR build. The lower was not to hard to do. Took pics with my cell phone, sorry about quality.

Looks nice...good choice of components. Just FYI, but after you get done staking the castle nut, you can use a black marker to cover exposed staking marks. Can also be used to touch-up any marring which may have occurred. I use a marking pen from Walmart out of their craft section.
Didn't notice from the photo, but after attending a carbine course, I added a single point sling attachment retaining plate behind the castle nut and have been very please with the versatility, might be something to think about down the road. Anyway great build, have fun and enjoyment out of your rifle...

The hole lower needs to be wiped down with cleaner. |

Very nice what are you thinking for a upper? I'm trying to hold off for AIM to get the Spikes back in, such a good buy. I have been looking at a cheaper upper from Ds arms. Would put a Spikes BCG in it. Looked at the BCM upper with out BCG, but is always sold out. I want it now lol. Still looking for more good uppers with out BCG, but do not want to put more then $400 in a upper ( that's with out BCG.) Looked at Stag's upper, but it is a complete upper. Would really like to have a nice BCG. Just finding stuff in stock is the problem I'm running into. |
