I just completed my build. I also built my own free float handguard. This handguard is what I call the XLNR (Xtra Lite No Rails) The next one will be the XL4R 4 Rail system. What do you think ?

its looks very nice... i have been trying to figure out a more affordable way to get carbon fiber for a few of my rifles... i think they are soo expensive, i would love to know how you made this handguard... are you planning on sharing the knowledge?????? or are you planning on making for resale??? either way if you can help a few of us with a better solution that would be Awsome

The Handguard is made of a special Carbon Fiber. It is extremly rigid and durable. This one is a proto so I could learn the ins and outs of putting them together. I have a ton of time in figuring it out, but I have negotiated with a major company that will reduce this time to make this a quick add on accessory. The next one I am making will be a 4 rail system with the new attachment system in place and some never seen before Carbon Handguard technology. After I put the next one together I am going to add up the cost of making these and will see where I am. But, I can tell you this. These will be of the upmost quality and the cost will be somewhere about half of what is available today. Thats about all I know until the second unit gets done. After I get it done I would like some input on how I could make it better. So, let me finish the next one and I'll let you know
