OK

My boy and I were to get started on this build together (1st Build). Already a hitch with gas tube I think it is to short.

Barrell is an M4 from ess solutions in (I think) carbine length. Gas Block is DPMS 4-rail. Armalite Upper.

Gas tube is approx. 6-3/4" long. But  I think I need an 8" or so length to reach from reciever to block.

Where did we go wrong?

Hope rest of project is not this way or it will take months!

Thanx to any replys

You must have got a pistol tube. Carbines I think are around 9"

+1

Make sure you order a carbine length gas tube.  You may be able to exchange the one you have.
