after my brother-in-law got a Bushmaster for xmas and shooting it, I was hooked
so i decided to build one myself. i am  disabled person and social security aint all that.. so i wanted to keep it as cost effective as possible.. with that i decided to go with a 5.45x39 AR
i started with a PlumCrazy C15 lower.. now im having a tough time deciding on uppers, ive narrowed it down to 2

Adams Arms
and
Spikes Tactical

I like the idea of a piston-system on the Adams Arms, but im not so cracked up it being carbine i dont think, my brother-in-laws is a midlength
and thats where the Spikes comes into play, its mid, but DI system

any thoughts from veterans for a rookie ?
thanks in advance

yea ive been leaning towards the Spikes since i came across it, though im understanding its been on backorder since like Oct/Nov 2010  .. would like to shoot this summer if at all possible
another question if i may, as ive not found any definitive answers online

will a standard .223/5.56 cleaning kit work with a 5.45 AR, or do I need to pick up one of the "EasternBloc" (yugoslav, bulgarian etc) 5.45 kits ?
