This is the umtheenth time someone has asked this question. Free Float better accuracy so they say. LaRue, DD, LMT, Sampson all make quality rails as do others. Expect to pay $$$ for a quality rail system Suggest you call the manufactures or better yet Adams and get their take on the question. |

In the end, the answer to this question can only be one's personal preference. That said, having a variety of different free float quad rails myself I would probably steer you towards the Daniel Defense Lite Rail. Assuming you are using a standard forged upper there is little fault that can be found in the Lite Rail (these don't fit some of the billet configurations). The Omega Rail is also a nice piece, yet again, I prefer the Lite Rail of the same manufactuer. I've been less impressed with Yankee Hill's, Young's and MI's products, personal preference but a bit wide for me. The truth here is that these cost significantly less as well and from a value you perspective, depending on the rifle, might be worth a look. The old saying of you get what you pay for is certainly true when discussing quad rails. My reason for liking the Lite Rail is the rock solid mounting system. I have seen most of the other products I mentioned, described by others, as also being rock solid. If this is true the Lite Rail is granite. It is superior to anything else I've used. I like the dimensions (slim) and the way they fit in my hand as well. These are very light weight rails. If there is any real critique I have with Daniel Defense's quad rails, it is the T-Marks are small and a goofy color, not really white and match no upper I've used. This nit picking isn't limited to the Lite Rail. I know... not a big deal. I haven't yet tried this rail but intend on giving Spike's new SAR quad rail a go in the near future. |
