[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Light-weight barrel

I am planning a light-weight build but I am having a rough time finding a barrel. I am just looking for a stripped barrel with no FSB or barrel nut. BCM doesnt have any in stock, Midway had a DD lightweight for 255. I was looking to spend 150 to 200. Anyone have any ideas on suppliers? Thanks!

I don't remember what it cost but I got mine (mid length gas system, 16" barrel, lightweight profile, chrome lined, your choice of 1 turn in 7" or 1 turn in 9".

Right now I only saw 1 turn in 9". I could have sworn they had 1 in 7's at the time I bought mine.

Rock River's aren't a true lightweight as they have a .750 gas block seat.

I think Del-ton still has them in stock. I have one and it really saved lots of weight on one of my carbines.

Check with J&T. They have true lightweight profile barrels and if you talk to Jesse he might have one without the FSB not installed.

When I can, I'm getting a DD barrel from smartgunner. They have them in several different configurations.
