Picked up FSB (take-off) with intentions of mounted it to one of my barrels. Since the FSB was a take off it all ready have the holes in it and was wondering if those would be a good enough guide to drill the barrel for retaining pins.
Plans are to tap the hole where the gas port opening is drilled and use a set screw to lock down the FSB to the barrel (after proper alignmnet). Level and square drill press and vice while the FSB is secure. Drill away! Thought about just milling some flats and tapping the exsisting holes for set screws, but may want to use drop-in handguards for this build. Any advice? |

The reason not many places install FSBs, and why those who do, charge so much - is because its a PITA job. Your best bet is to mill the flats and attach with set screws. Good luck. |
