Weighed three new "carbine" Buffers today.

Olympic Arms 2.79oz

Armalite 2.96oz

LMT 3.00oz

Probably not enough of a difference to have an effect on operation. Still suprised me.

about a gram difference.  I say the LMT and Armalite  are equal.  What is the Tolerance on buffers? 3 oz ±?
And a light oly.

They are supposed to be 2.9 ounces. of the three I weighed there was nearly a 1/4 ounce spread. The armalite was closest to the spec.

2.9 is the shoot for number, but all 3 can be in spec if they are within tolerance.

Like you said, Don't thing you will run into any problems. (or something like that)

eta I have no idea what the tol is, just curious.

I have noticed a spread of 2.7-3.1oz depending on where it came from.

I have also noticed a difference in function depending on the type of carbine buffer.

Some have 3 steel weights and some have one big crude steel weight.

The types of aluminum and anodizing used can also vary.

I threw the oly one in the trash. It sounded different when i would shake it as well as being the lightest.

I used the heaviest one.
