I am looking to put in a lighter pull trigger on my recent build. Im just looking for a basic single stage non adjustable setup. This is strictly a target shooting/defense weapon. I dont do any kind of competition or match shooting. Im running a aero precision lower with a AA piston upper. What do you recommend preferably under $225.

It's a two-stage, but the Geissele SSA fits your requiremnets.

I prefer the RRA great bang for the buck.

I got a Spikes coated Battle Trigger.  At first I wasn't sure if it was worth the money as it wasn't as smooth as I expected.  After some dry firing it has smoothed out quite well.  I don't think you would find better for $60.  The other option I can offer is have it tuned by Bill Springfield.  The non-coated from my Spikes LPK will be shipped to him for my next build.  I have no experience with him but for the price I am going to give it a shot.

I have two of the Timney single stage drop in triggers. No problems with either one.

JP is all i use. The one that must be fit. Years of comp use and never a hick-up.

Hasn't there been talk of Bill Springfield's triggers shitting the bed after a couple thousand rounds? (maybe this was only on RRA two stage triggers)

I personally use a Geiselle SSA, it's a night and day comparison to a mil-spec trigger.

I swapped out by Bill Springfield after it started doubling on my after 1000 rounds. I love my SSA-E Trigger I also have a SSA and count on both of those alot. The SSA-E has a lighter pull that the SSA. Both are AMAZING triggers!

I think the Accuracy Speaks trigger is one of the better single stage triggers.

It figures that I go out an purchase an SSA, then they release a new version

What are the differences between the SSA and the SSA-E and SSA - 3gun?

Hands down Geiselle SSA.

I have to edit this, I have tried a RRA NM tuned by John @ White Oak Armament and the pull is the same as an SSA-E, so for a cheaper trigger the TUNED RRA N/M is the best value. The Geissele SSA or SSA-E are more expensive and will probably last longer with the same pull.

Sounds like I might go with the Gisselle. Anyone have any discount codes for any reputable vendors?

I just installed Geissele SSA.  I am ordering a SSA-E for my next set-up. You will be very pleased with a Geissele.

They have 10% off sale right now so it drops it to $180 + shipping. Probably the best deal you can find right now.

Well I did find bravo company and midway had them for $170 + shipping. Anyone have a code for them?

Go with the SSA for a fighting or 3 gun rifle, SSA-E for a DMR, MK12 and the like.  Just my opinion.   I have both, and thought the SSA-E was a little to light of a pull for my SHTF.  Up to you though.

Toy the SSAs are $170. and the SSA-Es are $200.

I usually polish stock triggers. I place valve lapping compount inbetween the contact points and work the trigger 50 or so times. I then take it apart and clean. That usually makes for a very smooth and lighter trigger.

This is by far the best trigger out there.  I just picked up another one yesterday.  When I went to pay for it, it was $30 cheaper when viewed in my Cart.

Have you tried a Giessele? They are damn near perfect
I looked at the WIlson's but this review on midway scared me away

Philip M of Anchorage, AKDate posted: 10/19/2010This trigger has a 1911 style half-cocked hammer feature that will jam the hammer in the bolt carrier preventing the bolt carrier from closing. This only happens during rapid fire. The forward assist will not push the carrier forward. You must pull the charging handle back to pull back the carrier to reset the trigger. Plus it feels heavier, more like a 5.5 pound pull. Was this review helpful?Yes | No0 found it helpful | 0 did not
