Just a rant of mine.
I think if any manufacturer sells a barrel that has the word "match, sniper or target" attached to it; they should be obligated to determine, advertise, and guarantee a 30 round (adopt an ammo standard) group at 300 yards when used in a benchrest vice. 100 yard data is useless for a target gun. So what do they mean when they say match. How accurate is it.... |

The word "Match" is probably the most over used word in the Firearms industry........ask ten people what it means and you will get ten different answers.........I once read match parts were cut with new tools and thus held to tighter tolerances........
This day and age it seems it is applied to everything........and anything........... |
| If you think about it, it's no different than anything else in life that is advertised to you. Pretty much every company stretches the truth when it comes to advertising. It's just a buzzword that is easy to throw around because no one can prove it's not "match" grade. |

<SNIP> So what do they mean when they say match. How accurate is it.... It's ''MATCH?'' As in: "Is your money a good MATCH for our wallets?'' Unless there is a set of specifics attached to the manufacturer's statement it tends to be pure B.S. If it simply means they select the parts 'more stringently', you can probably save some $$ by doing that part yourself FWIW. If you don't have a set of criteria in mind that you expect for your MATCH parts when you're buying them, then you're probably one of the rubes they're fishing for. |

Probably not the best choice. Problem with guarateed accuracy, is they have no control over the end user's skill on assembly. Or skill at Arms 458 |
