Hey guys. I've been lurking around this site for a long time and have built a few ARs during the process. I'm building my first 14.5" Middy and have just one basic question.
Is there a LPK that does not come with a A2 or similar grip? The reason I ask is that I never use the A2 grip and always replace it with a Magpul or Hogue unit and due to this I now have quite a collection of A2 grips laying around just collecting dust. I keep one or two just for spare parts, but I'm tired of buying LPK kits and immediately getting rid of a part I know I'll never use. I realize that the A2 grip is normally ~$8 so I wouldn't be saving much money...this is simply for me to narrow down on some of my spare parts. Here's the build list in case anyone is interested: Lower: Mega Arms Forged "Gator" Stripped Lower DD LPK (unless I can find one w/o A2 grip) BCM Mil-spec buffer assembly with H2 buffer Magpul ACS Stock Magpul ASP rear-sling mount Magpul MIAD grip Magpul B.A.D lever (undecided) Upper: BCM 14.5 Midlength w/ pinned FH MI 12" Handguard BCM BCG Mega Arms Billet CH Troy flip sights Aimpoint H1 I may be leaving a few things out, but hopefully you get the idea. Thanks for any info you guys can give on a LPK without a A2 grip so I don't end up with yet another spare part. |

Thanks guys. It seems that G&R has quite a few options to mull over when it comes to a LPK. The DD kit comes with the Magpul trigger guard and A2 grip for about $20 less than the G&R kit, so I may just end up buying the DD kit and saving a few bucks even if I end up with yet another stock grip.
