I’m working on my first build and have decided to go with a LMT defender 2000 lower.  My question is whether or not it would be worth going with the stage two trigger or if the standard trigger would be good enough.  If anyone has some insight it would be greatly appreciated.  Also as far as the price difference, that doesn’t really bother me.

uhm... depends on what your doing.

2 stage is good for precision shooting.. benchrest stuff.

single stage is a better battle trigger.

although i do know there are combat guys who swear by the 2 stage.  its just you have to train with it alot to condition yourself to reset the trigger in the same spot everytime.  Not super practical for everyone.

I just bought an LMT lower.  I tried them both right next to each other and had a preconceived notion I would be walking out with the 2 stage I heard so many good things about.  I got the single stage....and for the same price it comes with the SOPMOD stock which kicks ass.  But I honestly didn't care, I bought the lower because I liked the single stage better plain and simple.
