| Hey guys....I'm new to the fourm here and im also new to ar-15s. my friend and i are building an ar with a 16 inch barrel, and i just had a couple of noob questions i was hoping you guys could help me with...first is im trying to chose my BCG and i have narrowed it down to the larue tactical BCG or the CMT BCG. Any thoughts on either? also i want to use the magpul MBUS iron sights, do i need a gas block with rails or can i just attach them to my for grip rails...thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer. |

I have a Larue BCG. I'm not sure what warranty the CMT has, but the Larue has a lifetime warranty. That speaks for itself. As far as the MBUS goes, the front cannot be mounted on a gas block. The gas block gets to hot and will melt the sight. The front must be rail mounted on a free float rail for optimal performance. |
