I bought 2 ea X brand lowers, and 2 ea Y brand uppers. Both brands involved are well known in the industry. By switching and swapping I was able to get one of the sets to half way work, but in reality neither of them is right. On both (one every time the other intermittently) when the charging handle is pulled it hangs up on the lower where the buffer tube attaches.
I’m half way thinking of just sanding the buffer tube and/or charging handle enough to make them work. Of course that brings up finish and possible strength issues that I cannot address at my home shop. And, of course then buying neither companies products again. This is the first time I’ve used either of these brands, and very annoying. I am withholding the brands involved as I've emailed them both for help. I hope one or the other of them makes it right, but at this time I don’t really know who to blame. So everyone gets the heat as far as I’m concerned. Any advice on how to proceed here greatly appreciated. |
