Hey guys I'm building my first AR and I was hoping you guys would be willing to double check my parts list to make sure i"m not missing anything. . .
. . .here's what I've got/ordered/think I have left to buy: -Mega Arms billet upper/lower reciever set w/billet charging handle (have & assembled) -AR15 Performance 6.8 SPC alloy SuperBolt assembly (have & installed) -lower parts kit. . .I think I got the RRA/DPMS kit (have & installed) -AR15 Performance 16.5" PacNor barrel in 6.8 SPC (have) -PRi 25 round 6.8 SPC magazine (have) -YHM 25 round 6.8 SPC magazine (have). . .turned out to be a C Products magazine, the PRi mag seems to be MUCH nicer -YHM black gas tube-carbine length with roll pin (have) -YHM low profile gas block (awaiting arriveal) -AR15 Performance laser etched 6.8 "Death's Head" ejection port door (awaiting arrival) -AR15 Performance 8-port MCD (awaiting arrival) -MagPul PRS stock (on back-order) -MGSS freefloat DMR handguard (ordering tomorrow). . .includes one barrel nut, not sure if I need two or not, they say some configurations require two barrel nuts (???) -standard, non-collapsible rifle buffer tube (still need to order) That's what I believe are the essentials. . .there are some things on my list to get still, but I don't consider them essential to the function of the rifle, they are: -scope & scope mount (not sure on the scope yet, but pretty sure I will be getting a GG&G Accucam mount) -BUIS's (Troy folding front & rear sights, both HK style) -bi-pod (either GG&G or Bobro) -sling & sling mounts (not sure yet) -some 10 round magazines (PRi) -MagPul MIAD grip kit (to replace standard DPMS grip) -two-stage trigger kit (to replace standard DPMS trigger) Thanks for the help guys. . .greatly appreciated!!! |

Make sure you look at the Larue bipod setup with the Harris adjustable with Larues QD attachment that also swivels. I have one and it is very sweet and easy to use. |

I'm waiting for: - my 8-port MCD, 6.8 "Death's Head" laser-etched ejection port door, YHM low profile gas block, and mid-length gas tube to come in the mail from AR15 Performance, - my MagPul PRS stock to get off back-order - extension tube, buffer, and buffer spring to come in the mail I'm gonna order my VLTOR CAS-V M handguard tomorrow. . .then I will only need to order the Troy flip-up BUIS's, a scope mount, and scope and I will be set with a complete rifel. . .there are still a few other odd's and ends that I want to upgrade, but they aren't essential to the operation of the rifle. . .
