If I ordered a M4 parts kit from Del Ton, is everything there to make M4 except for the standard lower??
I under stand what the M4 is, I just didn't know the the piston kit was there? I think that the M4's are better and it doesn't cost much more to buy the M4 kit over the Car kit??
I will be great full for any help.

The piston kit?  The m4 kit from del-ton is DI.  Not sure what you are asking.

To answer your original question, yes it is all there except for the stripped lower.

M4 barrel is 14.5" chrome lined with 1/7 twist, F marked front sight block...so what did you get from Del-Ton?

I want to order the 16" m4 rifle kit.
My question was ( I didn't know if the only part of a M4 was in the upper reciever.

You cant really buy an M4 without a permit. Only an M4 style. A real M4 will have a selector with safe, single and burst. The M4 barrel is also a little shorter than the civilian model. A3 designates a flat top. A2 designate a carry handle. They have different sights. An M4A1 would be fully automatic.

The only difference is a M203 cut-out in the barrel, and the Del-Ton M4 kit isn't a true M4 kit. Like I mentioned in my previous post, the M4(a3) barrel is chrome lined and 14.5" long, has a 1/7 twist, and a F marked front sight post.

del-ton kit doesn't come with m4 feed ramps either.  Doesn't make much of a difference on semi-auto probably but I though it was worth the mention.

Devil is in the details huh, if it doesnt have a F marked FSB, 14.5" chrome lined 1/7 twist, m4 feed ramps, and the correct FCG...what does that kit have to make it an 'm4 kit'? The barrel contour/profile is right, everything else is wrong.

I want to thank all of you for the help. There is $20.00 difference in the Car 15 and the M4 style, so I think I will go with Car 15 and keep my $20.00

Might as well.  If you're not ever planning on adding an M203, there's no reason to pay extra for the barrel cut.

Just thought i would say that DEL-TON does offer a 14.5" chrome lined 1/7 twist with m4 feed ramps.  With pinned and welded flash hider as a upgrade.  There prices are very cheap for upgrades and the quality is up to my standards.

You have to add it in the NOTES at the bottom of your order its like  a little over a 100$ for the upgrade.  What i did was just got the upper with the upgrades and no bolt carrier group for a little over 400.00$ and orders my bolt carrier group from BCM
