Well I started off here lurking but soon knew I would have to get an AR!
After much looking and learning I decided to build then I would really understand the operation and maintenance , and ordered three Mega Machines Multi cal Gator lowers and one matched upper. I ordered some punches and a mag block, etc. 
I put the first lower together and thought it was a piece of cake, I ended up purchasing a Spikes LE complete upper ( to good a deal to pass up) and Troy BUIS, went to the range and put 200 rounds thru it with no problems loved shooting it, no recoil and very accurate. Recently added an Eotech and a Magpul stock! Perfect SHTF AR! 
Sorry I don't have better pics or with it's latest upgrades! When first completed I couldn't wait to build another and have been contemplating what's next. I think for the next AR I'll try a 20" barrel and a good long range scope and FF hand guards! and either a trigger job or upgraded trigger. I have put the second lower together and looking at uppers and barrels, or maybe a 20" kit! Withe the final lower Im thinking 6.8 or even 458 because they will run thru the std lowers. If I go with the 6.8 I may then need to get a 308 lower next! If I go with the 458 I could take a break! I'm hoping the BRD would go into remission after that!
