Price not being a deciding factor, on the Magpul MOE handguard, which stubby VFG is a better choice, the Magpul MVG, the TAPCO Intrafuse, or the Tango Down. Im more concerned about size than anything. If prefer the smallest one available.  I know the TAPCO is shorter than the Tango Down by 1/4 inch but I cant find any size on the MVG.

thanks,

The MVG would be the shortest of the three. The Tapco and the TD both require you to add a rail to the MOE handguard; the MVG attaches directly onto the MOE.
TD = 3.875"
Tapco = 3.125"
Add another 1/8±" when these and a rail are installed on the handguard

I know it's not one of the choices you gave, but if you are looking for small, Arfcom member eringobragh sells custom ones that are really small. If you use a thumb break grip, they are really nice. I have one and it's a good quality piece that attaches directly to the MOE. You'd have to contact him to see when the next run is.
