OK some of you guys that do barrel installs help me out.I bought a Tactical Innovations AR22.I was attempting to put
some differant handguards on it and there is a snap ring on the reciever side of the Delta Ring. When i compress the
delta ring with my Tool the snap ring pops out of the groove and its rather a pain to get back on,get handguards back etc.
I looked at my other two AR's that have delta rings and they appear tp be a solid compression ring with no gap.
I am attempted to take the barrel nut off and look at it but want to see what ya think
I am wondering if the AR22 has some other type AR barrel nut and delta ring....See pics...

I never saw a solid ring on back of barrel, the split ring is made to separate to get off back of barrel, it snaps into ring in barrel to keep the delta ring from just pushing back against upper, then it wouldn't hold handguard.

Your post is kinda vague, but it looks like the top pic is using a run-of-the-mill circlip and not a correct AR piece. Is this the one you are having trouble with?  The bottom pic looks like the correct snap ring. I'll assume it is the top one you are having trouble with and say the circlip is not gripping deep enough in the groove or is flexing under the pressure from the weld spring. It also may be a bit too thick to fully seat into the groove.
My internet diagnosis..
ETA–– groove may not be deep enough also.

You should talk to Tactical Inovations. That is obviously a commercial snap ring not a mil-spec AR snap ring. Unless the snap ring can be squeezed into the grove (not my first choice) then the barrel will have to be pulled to fix it, which may void your warranty if you have one.
