I have a question about the lowers that are marked multi (caliber), what are the calibers that can be used with that lower?

Anything that will fit in the magwell.  The marking doesn't really mean anything.

the receiver would have to be extended quite a bit

That receiver would have its own built in full height mono pod and it would take two people to change the mag!!!
