| I have a DPMS barrel assembly that I'm going to screw into my Essential Arms upper soon. I understand that a barrel assembly by its self does not get test fired like a barreled upper does at the factory. My question is this.. is there any procedure to ensure the barrel can withstand the pressures or the 5.56 NATO that its chambered for, or just take it out and shoot it? Its a 16" chrome lined with a 1-9 twist M4 profile. Any tips, tactics, techniques or procedures? |

Oh, okay. Well in that case, follow the assembly instructions found on this website, assuming you have the tools, and you should be fine. If you want to check headspace, gauges are available from Brownells.
