Looking for a muzzle compensator to replace my current A2 FH for a 16" M4 (Del-Ton) barrel. I want one that significantly reduces muzzle jump to allow for a quick followup shot. Preferably, doing this without adding to the blowback and noise level to the shooter.
I shot a 6.5 Grendal on a AR platform once, that used a comp that looked like this: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=53340/sku/Steel_Muzzle_Brake It did fairly well for both things I wanted; but this one looks a bit pricey. Does anyone have any good advice on what to get? I was also potentially looking at the Troy Claymore, or the KX3. However, I would like to spend sub $70 if possible... |
| I had a similar question and asked it in the 3-gun room under "Training", above. There is strong opinion that the Titan (by S & J Customs) is the cat's ass, but I'm waiting to see a video showing it performing a feat as impressive as the JP Recoil Eliminator. There are videos on Youtube of the Titan at matches. I've watched them all too many times. Good comps are loud. I bought one of those quiet comps and can't tell any recoil difference over an A2. If you want the best and aren't confined by match rules, ask guys shooting in open division what they use. |
