I have a car stock that is a fixed length (non-collapsible). Do I use a spring and buffer for an A1/A2 stock or do I use a car spring and buffer? I know the one that Rock River Arms sells comes with an A1/A2 spring and buffer, I am just not sure of the brand of stock I have, if that matters.

Thanks,

Frank

I've seen fixed stocks that have used rifle springs/buffers and I've seen them that use carbine springs/buffers.

if there is a spacer in the tube it uses the carbine set up. If it has just a plain open tube all the way to the butt of the stock it uses rifle length stuff

stick a tape measure down the tube if you can't tell if there is a spacer or not 9 5/8"= rifle, 7"=carbine
