I'm putting the finishing touches on an SPR build and I can't decide on the trigger.  I've heard great things about the Geissele triggers but don't want to spend the coin on a DMR but would go with a SSA trigger.  I've also heard great things about Timney triggers.  Any opinions?

Geissele SSA is worth every penny you will not be disappointed. I haven't had any experience with a Timney.

Any one out there used both triggers with some opinions?

All I use is JP custom fit single stage or stock.

It's apples to oranges. You are comparing a single stage trigger to a 2 stage trigger.

I have a couple of timney triggers and also several Geissele hi speed triggers (1 match and 2 DMR). Both are nice but are two different triggers.
I haven't tried a SSA so I can't comment about those. For a precision rifle I like the 2 stage. For a plinking or standard type AR I like a single stage.

You can't go wrong with either but you need to decide on if you want a single or 2 stage trigger.

I have B Springfield and Giessele SSA triggers.  The Geissele is far superior but the pull weight is around 6.5 to 7 lbs.  A friend has a Timney 3 lb. that for accuracy and price is a DEALLLLLLLLLLLLL.

6.5 - 7 lbs?  Either the trigger gage is messed up or something else is wrong.  The Hi-Speed Service rifle trigger is the heaviest at 4.5 - 5lb
