My 1st build and 2nd AR.
Other AR is S&W M&P15 MOE So I picked up a Mega Billet Lower from Rainier Arms and sorta successfully assembled it this evening. I don't have a stock yet so I couldn't install the rear take-down pin but everything else made it in rather well. I did have a hard time with the bolt release roll pin but made it without any scratches which was a suprise to me. This is going to be a slow piece by piece build but that is more due to me hand picking every part and saving up my pennies for the good stuff. 
Parts List: Mega Billet Lower w/ DPMS parts kit Vltor EMOD or Larue UDE kit w/ CTR Stock 14.5" upper with pinned FH - not sure which yet but hopefully the BCM LW will come out soon 
Handguards and optics are undecided as of now except it will most likely be an Aimpoint H1, M3 or M4 on LT mount Other accessories are unknown at this time. I am pretty new at this and criticism and helpful tips are welcome of course. One question I had was my safety selector seems a little loose but I am not sure I can tighten it at all or if thats a normal thing. My S&W is pretty tight and gives a pretty firm click when switched on or off. |
