Anyone have any experience with the ambidextrous Charging handle?  I am looking for a really good quality ambidextrous charging handle.

Here is the link.

I have one... works very nicely.  Just catch a piece of it and pull back.  A regular charging handle drags against the receiver when you pull on it from one side.

I don't trust mine anymore and had a bad experience with it.  The pin that held the pivot point broke loose on mine prevented me from charging it during a class.  I did fix it and works flawless now but I'm worried it may happen again.  But I'll be replacing the original pin with either a roll or spiral pin and believe that should prevent it from braking loose again.

notice how the pin sticks out (suppose to be flush)

damage to lower reciever

Holy cow...and I orderd mine about 4 hours before you posted that.  I will check that pin really close upon arrival.  Thanks for the great info.

I've had one for a little while and can't really recommend it.  It's kind of a neat idea but really offers nothing over a standard GI charging handle for a righty.  I can see the merits of the design for a lefty but that's about it.

I don't think it's worth the $85 price and wish I would have done with a BCM charging handle instead.

badger ordninance makes a wonderful ambi charging handle.  easily the best upgrade i made to my ar, being a lefty.  no more reaching awkwardly over the back of the gun.
