I'm fairly new to Ar-15 and I just got a Del-Ton lower to start building another rifle, and I was looking for an A3 upper to put on it and I happened upon a CNC-machined TNW upper. Was wondering if they were any good because $70 seems too good to be true.

...and?

Good 2 go.

I did end up having to tap the grip screw hole a little deeper, but that happens, from time-to-time, with most brands.

Lockup between the upper and lower is as good as I've ever seen, lines are clean looking. Finish is nice (unique to any others I've run across––very smooth).

LPK installed just fine. Integrated trigger guard. Pmags drop free... MI-7 rail installed without issue... Barrel nut threads on upper were perfect, ejection port cover did require a little work to get it to fit right (Had to remove some stamping leftovers, to get it to fit inside the machined recess; less than .005". This was an issue with the del-ton door, though, and not the upper.)

Buffer tube threaded in perfectly...

Being that this is a beefed up billet set, it IS a couple ounces heavier than most standard upper/lower combos (not sure on exact weight), but nothing noticeable on an assembled rifle.

Can't think of anything else to share...

The upper receiver  does not have M4 feed ramps correct?

You are correct... But then, neither did my Del-Ton upper that came with my "M4 rifle kit".

Thanks, I bought a few (uppers & lowers) last month, but have yet to assemble anything. Tough to beat that price.

I have a TNW lower and a DPMS LPK dropped right in, no problems. I'm still saving up for a varmint upper, maybe I should get a TNW upper and build it....decisions, decisions..............
