Once I have removed the gas block and gas tube, and put in the action block in the vice, do I simply put a strap wrench on and untighten, or do I need the DPMS barrel wrench?
Is it a 1 or 2 piece handguard? Thanks in advance guys. |

Not exactly sure which one the varmint handguard is but their standard non-railed FFTs are usually loc-tited and require a torch to break free.
They are 2-pc and you'll need a strap wrench unless you don't mind tearing it up with a monkey wrench. The joint is approx 1.5"ish from the rear of the FFT. B-Man |
