I have ordered a lot of parts from Sarco in the last year. All of the LPK's had used USGI M16 selectors that were demilled. They would swing into the full auto position, but would only fire semi.
Is that legal? I did infact order AR-15 kits, not M16. |

After reading this and to try it myself...I have a lower that not finished and i put an auto selector in it and on the auto position it will not release the trigger. Is'nt the small raised piece supposed to push down on an auto sear. The auto sear has a longer leg on it and back part of trigger is milled out, open. Look at the parts this link and compare.

But that will ONLY work in an auto trigger; a semi trigger is closed in back and an M16 selector should block a semi-auto trigger. There is an additional slot for the leg of the auto sear; in semi and safe the M16 selector pushes the leg backward so the auto sear does not operate at all. Remember, the "disconnector" is the hook thing inside the trigger, while the auto sear is the part that rides on a pin directly over the selector that is only legal in properly (pre 1986) registered NFA firearms. |

Yes your right i used the wrong name on that...here's some more pics... I don't have a M16 trigger but the back in is milled out like he just mentioned...see red arrow area.
Mine would not fire in the position was just like safe position.
