I'm building my first and I have run across  a sale on GG&G uppers- 16 inch 1:7 twist.  Does anyone have any experience with or an opion on this brand?  I know all their other stuff is high quality so I would assume that the upper is too, but you know what they say about assuming.

In my opinion the add-ons are unnecessarily heavy and outdated.



You can find better quality uppers for the money, and buy better rail systems and gas blocks and so on.

I have one.  It is heavy but i like the crap out of it.  Got mine from Botach during the BIG SCARE last year for 680 i think.  I only have a VFG a Light and an EOTech on that rifle so the weight is no big deal.
