Alright, so I'm taking the easy way out on my first build, but hey, I'm just getting into this rifle thing. My complete upper arrived today along with the Troy rail. My lower should arrive at my local shop tomorrow and hope to pick it up tomorrow after work. Not sure what accessories I'll end up with, I'm sure they will come and go until I figure out exactly what I want. After being a avid handgun shooter fo a while, I shot my new AK this past weekend and I think I like this rifle thing. As you can already see I like to jump into things with both feet, 2 rifles in 2 weeks, but that's just the way I do things. After cruising the photo threads I've already got ideas for the next build, I really digging the dark earth builds.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Does a complete lower normally come with the pivot and take down pins, or do I need to order them?

This was really too easy. My next build I will at least build the complete lower. This was't much of a challenge but I'm very pleased with the final result and my wallet isn't hurt quite so bad as buying complete. Thanks for all the help guys. I also got 2 - 30 round and 2 - 20 round Pmags to go along with the build. Installed a set of LaRue rail clips, nice little item, but didn't get any pics. They did send along a bunch of swag with my order

Cruz, looks very nice!

Is that a CMMG upper? If so, I have the same upper, and I'm very pleased with it.

One observation on the BUIS...you can mount it further to the rear if you like. If you mount optics on it later, you may find you have to do this to have enough rail to mount the optic to.

It is the CMMG upper. I did move it back one spot on the rail, there is still some room to move it more but it looks like it will be in the way of the charging handle with the sight down. Here's a photo of some stuff I was playing around with.

My latest build was on an Aero Precision lower and upper.  I will do AP lowers from now on  That is a sweet rifle, my next build will be a mid length (on an AP lower of course).
