I was gonna buy a DD XV, but I didn't want to have to deal with a FFL and pay their fee, so I decided to build on a RRA lower I bought a few months ago at the height of the frenzy and paid too much for. Decided to go with a Spike's Tactical CHF CL upper, on sale, for $600. Added a DD A1.5 sight and a Magpul MIAD grip. Used the ARFCOM coupon code and got $35 off, basically getting the MIAD free. Gonna go to the gun show on Sunday and hopefully get a stock and a LPK. I'm thinking a MOE or CTR stock and a RRA LPK. No pics yet. I'll post one later when it's all put together. So far, have I chosen wisely?
It was a lot easier to keep some money when i didn't have a job. Damn carbine bug.

RRA lpk is gtg. My previous MOE stock locked up good and didn't rattle around although you could move it back and forth if you explicitly tried to. I'd only get the CTR if you want the QD or are very picky on the lock-up. Otherwise look into more worthwhile stock upgrades such as the LMT Sopmod. Sure it's expensive, but it's build like a tank, has an awesome cheek weld, & it looks fucking cool!
