Hey all,  Happy Thanksgiving!!!  Just finished a new build, using Tactical Innovation billet lower and SunDevil billet upper.  Noticed a gap between upper and lower, about width of a business card.  Is this acceptable?  Everything seems to function fine, but have not gone to the range to shoot it yet.  What is an acceptable width between upper and lower?  Thanks!!!

Welcome aboard!

To post a picture you need to upload the pic to a web base storage provider. I use Photobucket.com. It's free and pretty easy to use. Then insert the link to the pic in your post here.

Good evening and happy Turkey Day nat2tc.

First off, a hearty welcome to the forum.

Second, great pics of a great build.

I don't really see any gap you spoke of. My personal preference would be a rifle ready to protect life, limb, and property and a battle rifle such as the AR-15/M16 I personally never think of as being as tight as the proverbial drum.

Just my humble two cents worth.

Nice set up.  The lower has a tensioning screw for taking out some of the slop if you want to; however it's not necessary.  With the MIAD you can use an 18" long allen wrench or screw driver and go through the hole inside the grip, behind the grip screw.  I played with it one time (I have the same upper/lower combo) and it takes up any play, but too tight makes it difficult to get the take down pin out.  Nice feature, but I don't bother with them because they all fit pretty good.
