It has a 49/64" bore to fit 3/4" barrels but it will work on the 0.625 barrel since the set screws are long enough.

Yup; I used one to dimple a Bushmaster Superlight barrel with .625 gas block area. Worked fine.

I use a drill press a action block and a vice. Careful measurement the apporiate size drill bit and a steady work platform should do just fine.
