I bet if you called Spike's they would ship you one with an appropriate shipping charge.

Just need the spring?  IM me your address and I'll send you one.  I know I have a few spares on my bench,
I'll dig them out tomorrow and drop one in the mail on Monday.

This is what I'm doing to all of mine so I don't have to be concerned with those dang springs.

The hole has been provided as a public service. Just tap, install set screw.

No drilling, tap the first 1/8" (maybe a little more) of the existing hole with a 4-40 tap.  Cut the spring a little if needed (sometimes it is not.)  Install a 4-40 x 1/8" set screw.

A little tip:  Go slow, reverse and clean the tap a lot, use cutting oil or CLP, etc.  Check the fit of the screw before you put the spring in - no use hassling with it to find out you didn't go deep enough.

Tactical Innovations and Spikes lowers come with this mod already done.

Thanks to Mighty Swede for mailing me a spring. He's the man! He refused any money for the part or postage, too! Thanks again!

This is an awesome community here. Very helpful for new guys, and there's always something to learn even if you've been around a while!

All of Spike's lowers come tapped for a 4-40 set screw.  So easy a cavemen could do it.

Negative on the Spikes lowers coming tapped, at least not the ones I just recently got. I received four and put one together last night, it was not tapped, but I did it myself and installed a SS 1/8"x4/40 socket head set screw as I now do in all my builds, easy and painless....<><....:)

That's interesting, the one I recieved two weeks ago was most definitely tapped .  I wonder what the difference is?  Do yours have the bullet marks or safe/fire?  Mine was with the bullet pictograms.

I just finished a Spikes lower with the safe/semi engraving and it wasn't tapped...maybe only the lowers with the pictograms are tapped?
I may ask them over on the industry forum.
