this DPMS trigger is driving me crazy! the feel is gritty. i imagine that i would need to polish where the trigger engages the hammer? also, how does one take up the creep? the aero lower the DPMS LPK is installed in lacks the set screw that my superior lower has. (love that set screw) thanks in advance for any info! |

I take the grip off and disassemble the lower to a point that I can tap the grip
screw thread the rest of the way through. I install a 3/16" Set Screw and adjust it so the Safety Selector just clears it when rotated. Blue Loctite it. I then use a 3/4" grip screw and the standard washer to install the grip. This takes nearly all of the travel out and gets rid of the gritty feel. Lighter Hammer spring can be an option, or a little Semi Chrome Polish and a Dermel with a polishing wheel on the mating surfaces of the hammer / trigger.... Good Luck, Spec |

(love that set screw) thanks in advance for any info! I use Jewell Triggers, they are one of the best, in all my ARs. They are adjustable from 1 lb. to 6 lbs., also use KNS anti-rotating pins. I installed about 20 + Jewell triggers 10 years and never had a problem with any of them. Mike |
