While trying to install my Handgrip the screw broke.

I'm a like disappointed in how easy it broke.  Will Magpul replace the screw?

You probably want to ask them directly.  They have a website with contact info.

We don't work for Magpul but if you call or e-mail them I'm sure they will tell you.

Is it just a set screw? If it is .29 cents at Menards.

I'll bet they'll take care of you but I would be to embarrassed to ask. Not because you did anything wrong but the reality is that it's about 20 cents. That's not worth the time to call and make an issue out of it. I think most guys would pass a hardware store between now and the time it takes to have a new one shipped to you.

Dude. What they said. Go get one at the hardware store. Hell, splurge and get the stainless one for 35 cents.

It's a roll pin. From the picture, it looks like you did the damage yourself. Just go to your local gun show or order them online and quit bothering Magpul for something as trivial as this.

They should make time to crank out more UBRs instead of dealing with complaints such as this.

Wow, tough crew.  Truthfully I never thought the hardware store would have something like that.  I will buy the stainless.  But from what I read I'm not the only one that had this problem.  After spending 50 bucks for this, then waiting for it to arrival, you would thing magpul would provide 2, or have you tap it first.  Or maybe they should provide a stainless one!

Its just a hassle to run to town and get one.  I'll spend more in gas then it would cost magpul to ship two.

I've never had to tap mine. Were you using the proper size allen key?

I had the same thing problem with mine. I had to remove a little material from the shoulders of mine to get it to the point that the screw could engage the hole.
